The institute was developed to help financial advisors drive success in their consulting practices through educational programs, ongoing communications forums and networking with other financial advisors. IIMC members are selected on their commitment to managing their practices and utilizing a consulting approach with clients.
A native of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mitchell graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in Business Administration, earned his MBA from The University of Alabama, and is an Alumnus of The Blue Ridge School in Saint George, Virginia. A key factor in Mitchell’s decision to work as a financial advisor stems from his family’s business. He has seen the importance of proper planning by family members to preserve and grow their assets for future generations. Away from the office, Mitchell is an Elder at First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of West Alabama, a Rotarian, and Past President of the Family Counseling Service Board. When not working, Mitchell enjoys playing tennis, spending time at Greenebriar TREASURE Forest, and music. He joined Raymond James in 2007.
