A key factor in Mitchell’s decision to work as a financial advisor stems from his family’s business. He has seen the importance of proper planning by family members to preserve and grow their assets for future generations. In 2023 Mitchell was honored by Forbes as a Best-In-State Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisor, and in 2024 he was named a Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor. A native of Tuscaloosa, AL, Mitchell is an alumnus of the Blue Ridge School in Saint George, Virginia. He currently chairs the Blue Ridge School Baron Fund Advisory Committee. Mitchell graduated from Birmingham-Southern College with a degree in Business Administration and earned his MBA from The University of Alabama.
Away from the office, Mitchell is an elder at First Presbyterian Church, a member of the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the United Way of West Alabama, and president-elect of the Tuscaloosa Rotary Club. He is also a past president of the Family Counseling Service Board. Mitchell enjoys playing tennis, spending time at Greenbriar Treasure Forest, and listening to music.
